John Bartosik?s thirty year career as a professional commercial photographer has always influenced his personal collection of photographic art. ?Photography is my passion in life, constantly practicing and developing new skills, and exercising my trained eye, is a contributing factor in producing consistent, exquisite results with photography ? whether it?s for my personal work or for a client.? John studied at Ryerson, worked in the film industry, and published three photo art gift books including best seller, Sea to Sky Country (a pictorial on Whistler, B.C.). John has been recognized in Canada and internationally in numerous magazines, books, advertising campaigns, and annual reports, while winning prestigious photography awards. I try to create a dance for the eye, enhance an illusion of depth and symbolically tell a story that takes us to that special place while moving our ability to ?see?. ?I have come to believe that to ?see? is my journey. I acknowledge and respect the essence of life, nature, and all its forces at play. There are moments in life when I and my camera, an extension of my perceiving faculties align with the elements around me revealing an indescribable sense of wonderment. During those infinite moments, I crudely attempt to reveal its essence with my camera. These magical glimpses create a sense of mindfulness to where the hidden is seen, infinity is felt, and my being awakens.
