Michele, Maggie, and Anita, who were serving as bodyguards to novelist Nenene Sumiregawa, suddenly undertake perilous missions for the mysterious Dokusensha organization. They re pitted against a vampire-like professor, an actor who can impersonate everyone and anyone, and an English scientist conducting bizarre experiments on human subjects. These villains and Junior, a boy at Anita s school who looks and sounds like a girl, are all somehow linked to a rare volume stolen from a British library.
