Activation and Extension
You can register and unbind the license keys on MailPlus Server package > License page, or manage them at account.synology.com. By applying completely new license keys of the same type (5-account version) in advance, you can extend the validity of the registered license keys based on business needs. One license key can be applied to only one MailPlus supported Synology product at a time.
License Expiration Notification
MailPlus Server will begin to send the first notification to the administrator two months before the license expiration date. After the first notification, the system will continuously notify you at the following frequency:
- When the license key has only One-month validity remaining
- When the license key has only two-week validity remaining
- Daily during the last week of validity
- Immediately after the license key expires
License Expiration
When the number of active email accounts outnumber the valid licenses in MailPlus Server, some functions like Security, Full-text Search and SMTP will be limited or suspended. However, all the users can still send and receive emails. To fix this, you can add more valid licenses to MailPlus Server, or disable the active email accounts, so the valid licenses are equal to or outnumber the enabled email accounts.
